Mak once lived a simple sheltered life. She grew up without a mother in
the shadow of her hard working, Polish immigrant father in a sleepy
fishing village on the South Coast of New South Wales. Ostracized as a
child, shy and reclusive with no experience in love and little in life
she has to face the sudden death of her dad.
After battling depression, drug addiction and verging on suicide she begins to rebuild herself; mind, body and soul.
Now
re-born, with a leather clad exterior, soft heart and a deep seeded
hate. She sets about finding not only the two brothers that destroyed
her trust as a child but the girl who she feels is the one true person
from her childhood that took away her ability to live. Jo Fairhill!
After
inadvertently enlisting the help of her only friend Lottie, a worldly
single mother and ex Junkie from the streets of Sydney she met in her NA
group. The duo go on to not only find the elusive Jo but discover no
matter how bad you think you have it, there is always someone worse off.
